Barsa Bardewa was founded by Barsa Bardewa and Kamiel Wever, inspired by a shared belief that the things we choose to wear and surround ourselves with should carry meaning. Together, we are building a bridge between the craftsmanship of Nepal and a more intentional way of living in Europe—where natural materials, thoughtful design, and timeless quality are valued over passing trends.

Our work is deeply personal. We collaborate closely with Barsa’s family in Nepal, where generations of experience in garment making and textile craftsmanship continue to shape every collection. By working directly with the people behind each piece, we can ensure quality, preserve traditional skills, and create products with honesty, care, and respect.

The Bardewa family has long been connected to garment making and textile craftsmanship. Like many artisan families, their work has quietly shaped the lives of others for generations. Yet the makers themselves were not always given the recognition they deserved.

Barsa Bardewa was created to honour both the craft and the people behind it. By working directly with our family and artisan partners, we celebrate traditional knowledge while helping create meaningful opportunities for the future.

Barsa and Kamiel lead the vision of the brand, carefully selecting each collection and sharing its story with the world.

In Nepal, Barsa’s father oversees production and works closely with the artisans to ensure every piece reflects the quality and care that have been passed down through generations. Her mother coordinates communication, relationships, and the day-to-day organisation that brings every collection together.

As a small family business, we know where every piece comes from, who made it, and the story behind it. That personal connection is something we will never outgrow.
